MCR Services workshop

Frequently asked questions

Can't find your question? Feel free to get in touch.

Do I need an appointment, or can I just drop by?

MCR Services works by appointment only. Call, email or message us to plan a time — that way there's always room and attention for your bike.

Do you work on every make and model?

Get in touch with your bike's details (make, model, year) and the job you have in mind, and we'll quickly let you know whether and how we can help.

How long does a service or repair take?

That depends on the job. When booking the appointment we give you an estimate, and if it turns out more is needed once we're into the work, we discuss that with you first before continuing.

Do you keep parts in stock?

No, MCR Services works on a request basis rather than fixed stock. That way you always get a part that genuinely fits your bike and how you use it, rather than whatever happens to be on the shelf.

Can you set up my suspension for my weight and riding style?

Yes — suspension setup and overhaul is a specialism of MCR Services. Sag, compression and rebound damping are tuned to your weight, riding style and use. More on this is on the suspension page.

Do you offer trackside service during a race weekend?

Yes, MCR Services is available on location during race weekends and track days. Check the trackside service page or get in touch to discuss the options for your event.

Is a quote free and non-binding?

Yes, a quote from MCR Services is non-binding unless explicitly stated otherwise. Prices given are indicative; if more turns out to be needed during the work, we discuss that with you first.

Can I have a bike inspected even if I'm buying it elsewhere?

Yes. A pre-purchase inspection is an independent technical judgement, regardless of where the bike is for sale. More information is on the pre-purchase inspection page.

What's the fastest way to get in touch?
