Motorcycle cornering on fresh tyres

Tyre service

The right tyre for every condition — fitted and set up by MCR Services.

Why it matters

Grip is your only contact with the asphalt

Whatever a motorcycle can do, all of its grip runs through a small contact patch between tyre and road. The right tyre for the right use, correctly fitted and at the right pressure, makes a bigger difference than most other changes to a bike.

MCR Services fits and balances your tyres and advises on the best choice for your riding — from the daily road bike to a bike ridden on the circuit.

Road & track advice

The right tyre type for how you ride — daily riding, track days or racing.

Slicks & tyre warmers

For track use: race tyres fitted and kept at temperature with warmers.

Road tyre, sport tyre or slick

A tyre that works well on the public road isn't automatically suited to the circuit, and vice versa. Road tyres are built for a long lifespan and grip in both wet and dry conditions; sport tyres give more grip at higher temperatures but wear faster; slicks are purely for dry track use and, with no tread pattern, offer the maximum contact patch with the asphalt. The right choice depends on how and where you ride — not on which label is the most expensive or the fastest.

Tyre pressure: the cheapest gain

A few hundredths of a bar too much or too little noticeably changes how a tyre performs — too much pressure reduces the contact patch in the middle, too little causes overheating at the edges. For track use, we check pressure per session, not just at fitting.
